These are songs that don't appear on any main Strung Out release, including Prototypes & Painkillers. Because of that aforementioned release, there are only a handful of songs here but Strung Out have a history of doing lots of great one-offs, so I'm sure there will be more added later.
This is the "Old" version of the song, slightly different than the
"New" version that currently appears on Prototypes & Painkillers.
It was originally released on "The Show" Soundtrack.
This engine's revving and the tires are burning
The smell of asphalt lingers in the air
My head is spinning and my thoughts are burning
A rattle she shakes with every stare
Tell me where just tell me how
Tell me where I'm supposed to go
A thousand miles down this one way street
Where it stops I don't know
Hallucinations and the incarnations
Never bargained for a ride like this
Lying disgrace has knocks me off my feet
Down and out but not alone
Tell me where just tell me how
Tell me where I'm supposed to go
A thousand miles down this one way street
Where it stops I don't know
I've dug my grave and I've locked my door
No prayer's gonna save me now
This machine has sealed my fate
My fate just waits and I've lost all control of my world
Tell me where just tell me how
Tell me where I'm supposed to go
A thousand miles down this one way street
And where it stops I don't know
Originally released on "Before You Were Punk 2"
Every breath you take
And every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I'll be watching you
Every single day
Every word you say
Every game you play
Every night you stay
I'll be watching you
Oh can't you see
You belong to me
How my poor heart aches
With every step you take
Every move you make
Every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
I'll be watching you
Since you've gone I've been lost without a trace
In the night I can only see your face
I look around but it's you I can't replace
I feel so cold and I long for your embrace
I keep callin baby, baby, please
Oh can't you see
You belong to me
How my poor heart aches
With every step you take
Every move you make
And every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
I'll be watching you
Every move you make
Every step you take
I'll be watching you
Every breath you take, every move you make
Every bond you break, every single day
Every step you take, I'll be watching you
Every breath you take, every move you make
Every bond you break, every single day
Every step you take, I'll be watching you
Every breath you take, every move you make
Every bond you break, every single day
Every step you take, I'll be watching you
Different version from the one on Prototypes & Painkillers that was never released.
Briefly leaked onto the internet years ago.
Another lazy afternoon still fresh inside my head
The sun beats down, we drive around
No expectations to hold us down
That car would take us anywhere, just be back before the sun
Return to that uneasy place where you are father and I am son
We're going for a drive
It's all in my mind
The smell of pleather and gasoline, we are chrome that turned to rust
The years that separate us now are the years we lost to our mistrust
I'm sorry for my absence but it isn't all my fault
I've gone to a place where I can say that I'm not angry at you anymore
We're going for a drive
It's all in my mind
Let me steer us home, I promise to get us there
Looking straight ahead I'll be alright tonight
I look inside myself and find a piece of you in spite of me
It's getting easier to accept that I've become a lot like you again
I look inside myself and find a way out of this tangled way
I'm doing things to spite you now
I'm doing things to tear me down
So turn the radio up and we'll sit inside a revelry
A silent moment locked in time
A signal that it'll be alright well
It's getting easier to be me every day
I look inside myself and I find a piece of you
